Blue Monday is over and indeed, mid-January is when most resolutions fall by the wayside… unfortunately. I don’t usually have resolutions, but this time I do. No treatments, but medical tattoo: on paper. And I will definitely keep that up for a while 😊
Anyone who follows me on Instagram or Facebook will have seen that I have already drawn quite a few nipples, with pen, watercolour and pencils. Together with Antoinette and on my own. How nice it is to get out of my head for a while and create with my hands on paper.
A hobby of mine is art. Studying artworks in museums and exhibitions, I even travel Europe for that. Wonderful like the details of hairs and wrinkles, how they are painted. The lines and refined technique. And art gives me something to hold on to in these uncertain times. By creating on paper myself, I can dream away and get away from being still for a while.
Art resembles medical tattooing and permanent make-up, at least pre corona. For example, applying fine hairs to the skin or drawing a nipple true to nature with 3D effect. Symmetrical and tailored. Permanent make-up and medical tattoo require patience and extreme precision, just like art.
I wrote this on Facebook in May 2020. I could never have imagined that the lockdown would last so long, that there would be a second one, that Permanent Beautiful is still/again closed. What I know for sure is that as soon as it is allowed again, I will receive you with love and apply PMU or medical tattoo to you accurately and symmetrically. Want to know when that is?
