Tips immediately after permanent make-up treatment

  • the first few days the colours appear brighter, do not be alarmed. After healing, this will adjust to the desired colour. Some colours become up to 45% lighter. Moreover, during the first few days the scabs will appear darker than the final result. Do not pick at the scabs. Leave the scabs or skin on, it is part of the healing process. They will let go naturally, which is good for the best result.
  • After the permanent make-up treatment, the skin may swell slightly. This swelling disappears very quickly.
  • After 3 days, the pigmented area, which you treat with the special cream, may be lightly rinsed once a day under the shower or tap. For 8 days after treatment, the skin should not be allowed to soften. So no swimming pool, sauna or solarium.
  • External influences, sun and daylight, and skin renewal (every 28 days) cause the colour to fade. The lighter the pigment colour, the faster the permanent make-up fades. Avoid the negative effects of UV radiation and always apply a high factor cream, preferably SPF 50.

Light colours fade earlier than dark colours. Eyebrows and lips need updating after 1.5 to 2 years on average. Dark colours such as those of an eyeliner fade after 3 years[/colourway].

Update your permanent make-up on time

Tips during the transition

Time does not stand still and your face changes with time. Are you heading towards menopause or are you in the transition? If so, this will also have an impact on your face. Hormone changes make your skin lighter in colour and you have less hair growth. As a result, your eyebrows, for example, become shorter and have less volume. You can touch up your eyebrows yourself for a while. Download the tutorial and learn how to draw your eyebrows symmetrically yourself.

Changes under the microscope during a treatment

During permanent make-up touch-ups, I take a closer look at all those changes in your face. Have your lips become thinner or more colourless? Then I will touch them up as desired. And I will lengthen short eyebrows. Eyelashes that have become shorter and thinner are plumped up with a lashiner: a thin variant of eyeliner that makes your lashes look fuller.
