In these strange times, I would like to let you know that I have not forgotten you as a client of Permanent Beautiful. It is an exciting time for everyone.
I regularly think of some clients, whose health I wonder if they are still doing well but also people, whose treatment I have not been able to complete yet.
A few weeks ago, I was applying for a health and hygiene inspection from the GGD.
This is a mandatory inspection. At that time, I had already started wearing mouth caps myself, something that is actually not natural in our profession. In fact, I was at the dentist beforehand and underwent a very pretty extensive operation there.
I was eager to get back to work myself quickly and was glad I still had half a box of mouth caps lying around. My clients but also myself had to get used to it. I even excused myself beforehand, because it seemed so strange to wear masks.
When I look at that photo now, I suddenly find it quite normal.
We don’t see anything else, we are used to it by now. The GGD inspection wasn’t a piece of cake but with my experience I am skilled enough to do it…. Still, it was exciting… nerves turned out to be for nothing. Oh well, I could teach the hygiene theory myself in the training, but as a former health science teacher I should be able to, but it was a while ago. After performing my treatment, the inspector told me that the hygiene measures were no problem at all for me, she had encountered other problems. My actions were clearly well ingrained. I only had to buy another bottle of Dettol, I still had the Belgian bottle and that did not have the RIVM Dutch approved number.
I miss you all hence I recently sent a card from Den Bosch with “it will be alright” painted on the red white and yellow Oetelsdonk carnival colours. I miss my drawing, the stories about your lives and mine, the hows and whys of life.
How I can always enjoy these encounters. I will hopefully meet you in practice soon, I have now ordered some extra boxes of mouth caps for the time after Corona, when we are allowed again. It is waiting for the delivery.
I would also like to refer to my new GGD inspection (photo) which I am giving a place in the gallery of honour on my website. In the next three years I may treat you hygienically again but not just yet.
The photo below shows me wearing a face mask, so you will recognise me later and can get used to it.

P.S. Fortunately, I am not sitting still at home and am working on something current and meeting you online via Zoom image and video calls. I will be able to meet you online more often in person but via a screen. That has many advantages, I will tell you in a future article.
