This is actually the case throughout the Netherlands; microblading and permanent eyeliner are the most popular. And rightly so! I actually always start with an intake consultation, I find it important to know what your wishes are. I strive for a natural-looking line that is not too thick and accentuates your natural beauty. I also advise the colour and explain why it suits your eyes.
During the treatment, it’s nice if you can relax as much as possible. For yourself and for me as a specialist. The treatment usually takes around 1.5 hours, and sometimes multiple sessions are needed to achieve the desired result. I always say: don’t choose connected eyeliner (i.e. connecting the upper and lower eyelids), as this results in a sort of cat eye effect. Especially because, as you get older, your eyelids can start to droop and your skin can sag, leading to wrinkles. The eyeliner will then look unnatural and no longer accentuate your beauty.
The durability of permanent eyeliner make-up varies somewhere between one and five years, and sometimes even longer. I have been enjoying my eyeliner for a very long time. After the treatment, the skin around your eyes may become somewhat red and feel tight. After all, it is a tattoo and so swelling may occur. Treat the skin gently and, above all, do not scratch off the scabs and rub as little as possible. Most permanent make-up treatments heal within a week. You will receive an explanation and some Bepanthen after the treatment.
The experience of pain with an eyeliner tattoo varies from person to person. Everyone experiences any kind of pain differently. However, most clients describe this treatment as slightly painful or more like an irritating moment. I also always apply a light numbing cream beforehand so that you experience even less pain. You won’t know for sure until you have experienced it yourself.
I previously wrote that you must take good care of the treated skin, aftercare for permanent make-up is super important! And later on, care is important for maintaining permanent makeup.
Immediately after the treatment, you must avoid moisture, just like with a regular tattoo. So be careful with sports (sweat), vigorous bathing, washing your face with soap and water or showering, and especially do not swim. Preferably, avoid eye make-up, tanning beds and prolonged exposure to natural sunlight for three days. I will give you tips for after the treatment.
