Do you suffer from hay fever? Then permanent make-up for eyebrows or an eyeliner is a godsend. Sometimes people think that placing permanent make-up around eyes and for the eyebrow is impossible if you have hay fever or eczema. In fact, permanent make-up and hay fever go very well together! After having permanent make-up applied, all you’ll be thinking is ‘Keep those pollen coming’ – when it comes to your groomed look, that is. Because otherwise, hay fever and pollen allergy are just really annoying…. Permanent make-up makes hay fever season a little more bearable.

The benefits of permanent make-up for hay fever are great for people with irritation around the eyes:

Many people with hay fever don’t wear make-up because of the irritation and sensitive skin around the eyes. You solve that with permanent make-up.
The hay fever season, it seems to start earlier and last longer every year. The hay fever season often starts as early as February and the pollen rain only stops sometime around October. Many people experience trouble from those pollen and get watery eyes and snivel a lot. Then try applying make-up properly and keeping it on properly. And because of the watery eyes, many people also have eczema and complaints around the eyes. That doesn’t make this any easier.
Hay fever has an official name‘allergic rhinitis (AR)‘, which literally means ‘an allergic reaction to pollen, the pollen from trees, grasses and herbs’. People then often suffer from sneezing, itching, a runny nose, watery red eyes. In severe cases, it can even cause swelling of the throat, making breathing more difficult. They used to think it was due to the smell of hay, would that be why it is now called hay fever? It has nothing to do with it, the allergic reaction is caused by the pollen.
About 20% of the Dutch have this pollen allergy, so it is quite a problem.
In spring, tree pollen from hazel is the main culprit for many people. In late May and early June, grass pollen reaches its peak. This is followed by herbs as they spread their pollen.
It can happen that people grow over hay fever and eczema. Yet it is often a permanent problem. So medication or therapies against hay fever and allergy symptoms remain necessary for many people to get through the day. Permanent make-up for eyeliner and eyebrows is ideal for people with hay fever or other allergies.
If you book your appointment in February, you will be just in time. Then, before the pollen breaks loose, you can give your nature a helping hand. I know what it feels like to have eczema and be allergic, I am family burdened. I have enjoyed my permanent make-up eyeliner for years (16 years) and I always look good.

So near the end of 2021, I received a sweet message from a satisfied client. She had had eyebrow from me for years. And also opted for eyeliner because she has dry eyes and frequent eye infections (blepharitis). In consultation with the eye doctor, we decided to treat, though with the precautions (a special ointment) to prevent eye inflammation precisely after the treatment.
Now, with permanent make-up, she no longer needs to draw eyeliner, which prevents fiddling with her fragile eyes and again saves inflammation.
Hello Janny,
Just a note to let you know that I am very happy with the stripes around my eyes. When I open my eyes in the morning, I already look good! I hadn’t had that feeling for a while.
Wishing you happy holidays and all the best for 2022.

In 3 weeks I will be bald due to chemo. I came for eyebrows. Janny asked what I would do with my eyelids then, which will also be very ‘bare’. When I said I didn’t dare because I was afraid it wouldn’t look right, she convinced me. And, flexible as she is, she did it right away in the same treatment.
The PMU by Janny herself is also beautiful!
Didn’t feel any pain, just a little itchy feeling at the lash line.

Think of all your shoes in the closet, the coats you hardly wear anymore. But this is personal and I have no judgement on it. If you look at permanent make-up, it will be with you forever. Yes, permanent make-up is expensive. But what is expensive when you are talking about your look, that is priceless, isn’t it!
