Depigmentation is the process what takes place in the skin. The pigment cells cease to function, preventing the production of the skin’s own colour. And so that causes the white, pink skin. There is a variety of vitiligo. At Permanent Mooi, only the stable vitiligo is coloured with shades. At Permanent Mooi, work is done with extreme precision, vitiligo can be made less visible on small areas of the skin. I do not treat large areas. How vitiligo develops is unclear. The breakdown of pigments in the skin can be active and sometimes less active. In other words, unpredictable. There are many people in whom it starts before the age of 30. Over 200,000 people have vitiligo in the Netherlands.
You are young, you are in the phase of discovering yourself and then suddenly you get vitiligo. During puberty, this is very troublesome for both young men and women. Depigmentation often starts around the genital area and on the face. With permanent make-up, you make vitiligo more bearable for yourself. You feel confident again. To proceed carefully, I discuss the possibilities, a treatment in the face is only carried out after consultation with the treating doctor. Stable vitiligo can generally be camouflaged well with permanent make-up, this only applies to smaller spots.

Totally forgot to say, always think about it at the wrong times, but that laser worked extremely well. Actually, it took it away/lightened it and now it’s nicely opaque. Just like the first colour was years ago.
