Even doctors can get sick…very sick.
By no means everything returns to the way it was, you lose your hair, you look 10 years older within a short time… Still, I tried to turn back the clock, more hair, better look and a natural eye look she got in return.
The article in the NRC triggered Maria. Together with her daughter, she came to my practice for a permanent make-up treatment.
Her daughter supported her, I got the impression that she always supported her, even when it was difficult for her during chemotherapy
I used microblading and a dark brown pigment, which suited her face nicely, just as the eyebrows were before chemo. Microblading is a fine and light technique is fine, I create hairs with almost graceful and calm movements, indistinguishable from real ones.
Maria is an ophthalmologist by profession, almost retired. She had imagined all kinds of things about this permanent make-up treatment, but that it would be so painless, she could never have imagined.
How happy Maria was when she looked in the mirror and saw that beautiful drawing of her eyebrows.
And the daughter, who doesn’t need permanent make-up at all. As an encore, I drew her eyebrows in an instant. ‘The eyebrows frame my face, much better this way’ she said.

Something that is quite common are little white-yellow bumps between the eyelashes and on the eyelids. These are small bumps filled with sebum that are caused by an inflammation of Meibom’s glands. You can solve this yourself, by soaking your eyelids. You do that by rubbing a flannel as warm as possible over that spot. Then you glide over it with an ear bud, possibly without the cotton ball. You ‘scrape’ along the skin and then also get rid of all the bacteria. Actually, it melts like butter, so to speak. This can be done by the beautician, often with a needle, but you can also do it yourself. Sometimes you have to repeat it for a few days. So you don’t have to prick or cut that fragile skin right away, just a household remedy. And just like that, I learned something. ?[/frame]
You don’t choose permanent make-up (PMU) lightly. It is a conscious choice and, for many women , life-changing.
You choose permanent make-up so you don’t have to rush to touch up your eyebrows, eyeliner and lips in front of the mirror every morning.
You choose permanent make-up because it makes you feel better, because what you lack can be replenished so you work on your recovery. Permanent make-up works healing.
You do shine! You are and always will be YOU!
