NRC 'This is me' - I'm in the paper

And that probably only happens once in a lifetime, that I got to tell the story of my life like that.

You may have already seen it, on paper, digitally or through my socials, today, 22 May 2021, I am in the NRC. I told my story and Joke Mat listened, wrote and created my portrait. How well she did!

🤦🏻‍♀️ I was ashamed and felt second-rate.

I have eczema and not only that, because I also have a rather unknown other disease, you read in the article. The work I do now helps me control my own problems. I ‘restore’ people with cosmetic and medical tattooing, permanent make-up. As soon as a client looks in the mirror after a treatment and I see a happy face with sometimes a tear, I am satisfied.

I didn’t travel the road to it on my own, the very conversations in my network made me strong to take the step and be open about who I am and why I do what I do now. The column in the NRC ‘This is me’ is about the choices in my life and the problems I encountered with my health.
