For over 6 years, I have been working closely with Wendy van Roy, an experienced beautician in Belgium. She has been working as an independent beautician, Beauty Salon Amaryllis, for almost 12 years. She has been in the business for over 32 years. She shares her insights on working with Permanent Mooi in Brasschaat (BE). Wendy has built up a loyal clientele throughout her impressive career and enjoys a continuous stream of clients visiting her salon in Brasschaat. It’s time to pay extra attention to that lovely partnership. Read along?
Wendy explains how the collaboration with Janny Hanegraaf (Permanent Mooi Den Bosch NL) came about. “Previously, I worked with another permanent make-up (pmu) specialist, who came from far away. I started looking for someone else and Janny responded quite quickly. Working together started about six to seven years ago. Soon I found out that Janny did more than just permanent make-up, but also medical tattoos. And that was the perfect addition to my salon.”
Wendy highlights the how her beauty treatments and Permanent Beautiful’s pmu services connect. A notable addition to Wendy’s salon is scar treatment, where Janny’s expertise is invaluable. “Janny’s work is completely tailored to the client, with no harsh eyebrows, but subtle and beautiful permanent make-up that enhances the look. People feel comfortable with us. I have clients who have been coming to me for 32 years. And Janny sometimes looks with me when there is something I can’t figure out. Older clients are also encouraged to take the step towards permanent make-up, simply because Janny is in the same age group. Even if that seems strange, but you have certain insights when you get older. Then you see for yourself that due to discomfort, an illness or simply reading glasses, make-up is no longer so easy.”

Wendy shares examples of clients who have used both her and Permanent Beautiful’s services. “Some clients were hesitant, but after an explanation from Janny, they dared to take the step. Janny is really an expert in assessing and colouring scars.”

According to Wendy, the biggest benefits of the collaboration are jointly reaching a wider audience and creating satisfied customers. “And the services we provide go beyond beauty; we are both a kind of psychologist at times. Both Janny and I aim to make clients go out happier than how they came in. The atmosphere in which people feel at ease, which is enhanced by our fine collaboration, contributes to clients’ overall well-being and satisfaction.
